Step 4: Discussing you and your Music!

It’s one thing to be a musician. It’s another to be a professional musician. Whichever stage you’re at - indie or label-repped - the most important aspect of all this is that you’re doing something with music, right? And that’s awesome! People loving your music is icing on the cake!

But with that said - isn’t there already just so much music out there already? How do you get people to actually care about your niche in the endless ether of released songs, EPs and Albums?

There are questions that you need to know the answers to, in order to succeed:
- What’s your story?
- What’s special about your music?
- Why should people care about you and your career?

Once you can answer these three questions, you have a shot - and one way of figuring this all out is to chat with someone, a fellow musician with industry experience, who can hear you out and give you an opportunity to speak your truth.

Artist / Band Interview!

  • It’s an interview where we chat to you about your music and career! We can also just chat about music that you like, music that you’d like to make, cool stories you have related to music, or just get to know you better as a person (preferably as a musical person though)

  • Anyone who wants to, or is currently doing something cool with music. If you’re making, performing or recording music, and are doing gigs, label sessions and/or tours - get in touch!

  • Our Music Studio is located in Lyttelton Street. Spreydon. However, all you need to do, in order for us schedule a time to interview you, is to contact us via our Contact page, or send an email to logan@spiderhands.co.nz

  • It’s a flat rate of $60 NZD per interview! For that, you get a professionally recorded and edited interview that features you, your thoughts, your music and as best an angle as you can provide.

  • You have two options:

    1) If you’re located in New Zealand, you can direct deposit to our bank account (payment is required before we begin the review process):

    2) If you’re an international client, please pay us via Paypal, through to our email address, logan@spiderhands.co.nz

  • If you change your mind about a review, it’s possible to ask for a refund before we start work on recording it. Due to the amount of prep work that goes into these chats beforehand - we don’t offer refunds on interviews during the recording process, or after the interview has been delivered.
