Logan, our Guitar Tutor, has been teaching music since 2011. The Guitar is his favourite instrument - with 15 years on the instrument, Logan has performed at live events, played in professional recordings and written riffs for paying clients, all from the comfort of his lesson studio.
In regards to the lessons themselves, Logan's main goal is to assist his students towards becoming the best musicians that they can be.
Lesson Times & Availability
We aim to teach 48 students per week. We have the remaining available lesson times available for new students:
- Mondays 3pm
- Tuesdays 6pm
- Wednesdays 6:30pm
- Fridays 3pm
Our lessons are generally 30 minutes in length, although we can do hour lessons if you prefer.
One on One or Group Lessons?
While we can offer group lessons for guitar if need be, we prefer to work with students on a one-on-one basis. Parents are welcome to attend their child's lessons.
Entry Requirements for our Lessons
Anyone aged 5yrs and up is welcome to begin learning with us. A knowledge of the alphabet (for young children) is helpful, as music uses the letters A-G within instrumental notation.
Regarding Exams and Assessments
We can help you with preparing for both Grading exams and/or NCEA assessments. We can also help you to decide on songs for performances, and we can teach you how to improvise both melodies and harmonies.
Expectations Regarding Practice
We don't expect you to practice for more than 2 x 20 minute sessions per week. We feel that it can be better to let our students aim for a lesser amount of time, and then encourage them to practice more if preferred.
The exception to this would be if an examination or performance was coming up. In that situation, we would expect our students to be practicing whenever possible, or at least once per day.
How do payments work?
After the trial session, 30-minute lessons are $25 each. We only accept fortnightly, monthly or term-based payments.
Payments can be made as either cash or direct debit (SPIDERHANDS PRODUCTIONS LTD, 06-0942-0352165-00.
Payment is due on the day of the first paid lesson. Discounts for monthly and/or term payments.
