About The Tutor:

Logan, our Bass Tutor, has been teaching since 2011. Logan's love for playing this instrument extends to his first live performance - where he had to learn a short setlist on the instrument in the space of 3 days(having never played live before) and nailed it. 

Lesson Times & Availability

The following times are available at the moment:

- Mondays 6:30pm
- Saturdays 10am

Our lessons are generally 30 minutes in length, although we can do hour lessons if you prefer. 

One on One or Group Lessons?

While we can offer group lessons for bass if need be, we prefer to work with students on a one-on-one basis. Parents are welcome to attend their child's lessons.

Entry Requirements for our Lessons

Anyone aged 5yrs and up is welcome to begin learning with us. A knowledge of the alphabet (for young children) is helpful, as music uses the letters A-G within instrumental notation.

Regarding Exams and Assessments

We can help you with preparing for both Grading exams and/or NCEA assessments. We can also help you to decide on songs for performances, and we can teach you how to improvise both melodies and harmonies.

Expectations Regarding Practice

We don't expect you to practice for more than 2 x 20 minute sessions per week. We feel that it can be better to let our students aim for a lesser amount of time, and then encourage them to practice more if preferred.

The exception to this would be if an examination or performance was coming up. In that situation, we would expect our students to be practicing whenever possible, or at least once per day.

How do payments work?

30-minute lessons are $25 each. We offer fortnightly, monthly or term-based payment plans. Discounts for monthly & term payments.

Payments can be made as either cash or direct debit (SPIDERHANDS PRODUCTIONS LTD, 06-0942-0352165-00.

Payment is due on the day of the first paid lesson.
